Sahir was 20 days old when one evening he suddenly started crying. A lot. In haze and anxiety we realized that he must be having a stomach ache. And I consulted Dr. Pareexit for guidance. Though he is my brother-in-law, this was my first encounter with him as an excellent doctor and with Ayurveda as an excellent medical field with fantastic results and minimal side effects. Since three years, my toddler is using only Ayurvedic medicines (and trust me, there are lot of medicines available in our kitchen too!) for all his ailments, which are surprisingly less than other kids I see around.

Apart from vaccinations, we haven’t visited Pediatrician and all the credit goes to our Dr and Ayurveda. He is healthy, active and full of energy. And I used to feel that Ayurvedic medicines will come with so many Dos and Don’ts. I will have to restrict him to eat some foods and will have to push him to take some. I was surprised when I was told that he can take his regular diet, fruits of his likings always.. without many restrictions. The conditions which were asked to follow have been so far easy to follow and are given fantastic results. And for me it’s a more than fair deal. What more can you want than your toddler’s smiling face while taking his medicine, and his demand for more?

In some ways, we often take our own things and our own sciences very lightly. We forget that being born and grown up in a specific surroundings, we are more inclined towards the sciences evolved from the same surroundings. They are more effective for you, giving healthier options for healthy lifestyle… that’s the beauty of Ayurveda which I have realized. As a person, following Ayurveda now for more than three years, I found myself in healthier mind and body. As a mother of course I am at peace knowing that Sahir is safe even when he is sick and unwell.
